ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Hello and welcome to my website, some of the pages are still under construction. My name is Martin White and I have been a professional photographer for several years and on the gallery pages you can find a sampling of my images. I only shoot on film. Many potential clients want to know what type of camera equipment a photographer uses. I shoot on medium format and 35mm cameras. What does "medium" mean? Well, 35mm is considered small format, because of the smaller film size. Medium format is a larger film size, in the case of my cameras, 3 times larger. What this means is that you have a sharper image than 35mm. Why not use medium format for all of the shots? Because the camera is heavier and slower to focus, this makes it much less suitable for action photography but great for portraits, or more formal photography.

Another question often posed is the quality of the equipment. My camera equipment is leased. This allows me to keep my camera equipment up to date and to acquire new equipment long before anything is worn out. As far as backup camera equipment, I have doubles of all of my camera equipment and triples of some. But what's really important is whether or not the photographer can use the camera equipment they have. After looking at the gallery pages, I will let you make that determination.
